How to convert SVG to PNG
- Choose your SVG files, or drag and drop them onto the box. You can add many at once.
- Choose the size.
- Download each PNG with its button, or use Download all (.zip) when you converted several.
Choosing the size
The PNG is drawn at the width and height set in the SVG file. If the file only has a viewBox, its numbers are used as the size in pixels, and if it has neither, browsers use 300 × 150. Choose 2× or 4× for a sharper PNG on high-resolution screens or for print; because SVG is a vector format, it stays crisp at any size.
What gets drawn
Your browser renders the SVG as an image. Scripts inside the file do not run, and images or web fonts linked from other websites are not loaded, so text is drawn with fonts installed on your device. If the text in your PNG looks different from the original, convert the text to outlines in your design app before exporting the SVG.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The converter is a web page that runs in your browser. Your files are read and converted on your own device and are never sent to a server.
Is the transparent background kept?
Yes. Areas of the SVG with nothing drawn stay transparent in the PNG.
Can I choose an exact width in pixels?
Not yet. You can pick 1×, 2× or 4× the size set in the SVG file. To get an exact size, set the width and height in the SVG first.
Why does the text look different?
Fonts loaded from the web are not available when an SVG is drawn as an image, so your device’s own fonts are used. Converting text to outlines in your design app avoids this.
